Saint Bernards are known for their large size, calm personalities, and sweet temperament. They may look intimidating, but they’re incredibly gentle and make great companions for families, especially those with kids.
They don’t need a lot of intense activity, but they do enjoy spending time outside. A bit of fresh air, a short walk, or relaxing in the yard each day helps keep them happy and healthy. That said, they’re definitely indoor dogs at heart and prefer being close to their people.
Because of their strength and size, it’s important to have a secure outdoor space.
